Yes, let's joke about lynching people. Lynching just doesn't get the respect it should in the comedic world. For a House Representative to even THINK this is funny, much less SAY it at a townhall I think illustrates the futility of trying to work with those people. They think their colleagues being KILLED is funny. What happened to "all life is sacred"? Even worse is the crowd APPLAUDING and LAUGHING with him.

If you don't know what lynching is, or how terrible it really was, check out this link about a special PBS did in 2007, this link with pictures of lynchings that were used as POSTCARDS because the racists were so proud, or this link with more sources you can check out. I would post the pictures in this diary, but not everyone can handle looking at graphic photos.
